Just something in the way they interact feels far less stiff and simplistic than the norm, and often the choices I’d have for responses to situations would feel sensible within the context of the current circumstances and characters.
True Colors still has a compelling story to tell but what struck me most about it was a weird feeling of authenticity to the key characters. I've played the game thanks to GamePass and overall enjoyed it very much (much, much less than 2 previous games though), but if I had payed 60USD for that, I would have been extremely mad. The ending is terrible and feels rushed as we learn almost nothing new throughout the game, apart of the very last chapters. And somehow everyone has much more emotional depth than Alex even if its her who can empathize with everyone. At one point she cannot cope with that, but after few days, she can master her abilities.
Alex's power is useless and terribly written. Almost whole chapter taken by LARP that was sure, enjoyable, but at the end - again - pointless for the character development and the storyline.
The story is predictable, the main plot twist is revealed in the trailer and the whole intrigue is pointless. The game is beautiful, stunning face expressions, amazing landscapes and voice acting are on point.
